The AXON Video IP Protector PoE 4 is designed to protect against surges the 10/100 Mbps Ethernet equipment, particularly IP cameras remotely powered via PoE technology i.e. through unused pairs of wires in the transmission cable. The each channel of the 4-channel AXON Video IP Protector PoE 4 contains two types of lines – data transmission lines (lines 1-2, 3-6) and power supply lines (lines 4+5, 7+8). Both of them are protected by surge arresters, which discharge the surge energy to the earth and also protect against overvoltages between the lines. In order to increase the load capacity of the power line, the line 4 is shorted out with the line 5 , as well as the line 7 with the line 8.
The AXON Video IP Protector PoE 4 has a metal housing that guarantees high resistance to various mechanical exposures and provides shielding of the entire protective circuit. Single and double rack mount brackets are optional and available from the distributor.
