The acar EPC enables remote switching on and off of up to 6 appliances connected to individually controlled socket outlets placed on the front panel of the device. The control is implemented over the 10 Mb/s wired Ethernet and it is based on the embedded Web server or on the SNMPv2 protocol. The acar EPC has its own assigned IP number and the control of its work takes place via any web browser. The access to the control functions is protected by a login and a password.
The acar EPC protects connected appliances against the overvoltages and disturbances occurring in the 230V/50Hz mains with the help of an expanded surge protection system and the EMI/RFI filtering system. The surge protection system allows the interfering charge to be discharged into the earthing conductor, while the filter eliminates the symmetrical and asymmetrical harmonics of high frequency disturbances. The surge protection system has an indicator of its proper operation. The acar EPC has a metal housing intended for mounting in the 19-inch rack cabinets. The device is equipped with a double pole mains switch and two fast blow fuses.
