The AXON PoE MultiNET Protector family is designed to provide surge protection of data transmission in the 10/100 Mbps Ethernet systems and is especially designed to protect modems, routers and repeaters, that are powered remotely through PoE technology i.e. through unused pairs of wires in the transmission cable. Depending on the version, it has 4 or 12 independent channels, providing protection of the signal and power lines in one device. The AXON PoE MultiNET Protector RACK contains two groups of lines in each channel – data lines (lines 1-2, 3-6) and power supply lines (lines 4 + 5, 7 + 8). Both of them are protected by surge arrester, which discharges the surge energy to the earth and also protects the lines in the individual pairs of wires. In order to increase the load capacity of the power supply circuit, the line 4 is shorted out with the line 5, as well as the line 7 with the line 8.
The AXON PoE MultiNET Protectors are available in two versions, allowing you to customize the configuration to suit your needs. Both versions feature metal housing that guarantees high resistance to various mechanical exposures and provides shielding of the entire protective circuit. The AXON PoE MultiNET Protector RACK has a metal housing that is designed for mounting in the 19-inch rack cabinets.
